Lenten Lunches in Cheraw

Churches and pastoral leaders from across Cheraw gathered on Wednesday, March 11, to launch this year’s Noon Day Lenten Lunch series. Each Wednesday from now until Wednesday April 1, a
worship service will be held at noon with music being provided and a different guest speaker followed by a meal provided by different church groups in Cheraw. It is the hope that the Noon day Lenten Lunches will provide a space for community unity and prayer during the season of lent in the town of Cheraw as the community prepares for Easter. Upcoming dates, locations, and speakers include:  March 25 at First United Methodist Church with guest speaker Bishop Johnnie McLendon, pastor of Fisher Hill Community Baptist Church. April 1 at First United Methodist Church with guest speaker Rev. Joseph D. Kovas, pastor of First United Methodist Church.
