Friday, April 5 – Lunch and Learn on Male Perspective on Sexual Assault from 12:30-1:30PM at the Pee Dee Coalition Chesterfield Satellite site located at 339 North Page Street in Chesterfield.

    The Town of Cheraw presents its annual 47th Spring Festival on Saturday, April 6th from 10:00am – 6:00pm. The festival is held downtown Cheraw and consists of arts, crafts, and food vendors and planned activities such as an antique fire truck parade, car show, kids’ attractions, petting zoo, live entertainment and much more throughout the day.

Patricia McNeely will be the guest speaker and speak about the “Eyewitness to General Sherman’s Campaign and the Burning of Columbia.” McNeely was a reporter and editor of the Greenville News, The State and the Columbia Record before becoming a faculty member of the University of South Carolina College of Journalism, where she taught writing and reporting for 33 years. The meeting is co-sponsored by the Chesterfield Genealogical Society and the S.C. Humanities Council.

    Pickleball is best described as a combination of ping-pong badminton and tennis played indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court with a net like a tennis net. Players use a paddle that is like a ping-pong paddle, but bigger. Come join the fun and learn the game on Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays from 9:30am – 11:30am at the Cheraw Community Center!

Come watch a class for free and sign up for boot camp. Registration fee $10.00, and monthly instructional fee $40.00 for city residents & $45.00 for county residents.
