Genealogy Meeting

The Chesterfield District Chapter, SCGS, will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, in the conference room of the Visitor’s Center, located at 100 Main St. in Chesterfield. The guest speaker will be Mike Graves. He will speak on “How the South became known as the Bible Belt.” Graves is an avid Civil War historian and also enjoys participating in re-enactments. He is a 1980 graduate of Central High School and received a bachelor degree in history from University of South Carolina.
