Chesterfield District Chapter SCGS Genealogy Meeting

The Chesterfield District Chapter, SCGS Genealogy will meet at 3PM, April 14 in the conference room of the Visitor’s Center (Old Courthouse), located at 100 Main St, Chesterfield. The meeting will also be available on Zoom. Patricia McNeely will be the guest speaker and speak about the “Eyewitness to General Sherman’s Campaign and the Burning of Columbia.” McNeely was a reporter and editor of the Greenville News, The State and the Columbia Record before becoming a faculty member of the University of South Carolina College of Journalism, where she taught writing and reporting for 33 years. The meeting is co-sponsored by the Chesterfield Genealogical Society and the S.C. Humanities Council.
